Get a Good Night's Rest at Dubai Airport: A Guide to sleep 'n Fly Lounges
Sleep ‘n Fly offer not one, but four lounges at Dubai International Airport (DXB), spread throughout various terminals and concourses. This is no surprise, as Dubai is one of the largest transit hubs in the world, with nearly 250,000 passengers passing through their terminal on any given day.
If you’re not familiar with sleep ‘n Fly, they are a unique airport lounge concept that offer a variety of pod and cabin style sleep-based resting spaces within the airport.
Their spaces can be booked by the hour, so whether you need a one-hour power nap or a full overnight stay between your connecting flights, sleep ‘n Fly has an option for everyone.
Some of their Dubai lounges include several unique room types, including business pods if you need a quiet place to get some work done, and a more traditional seat-style lounge option known as Lounge Lite.
Of course, free Wi-Fi is included in all options. You can even get yourself free unlimited Starbucks beverages at their Concourse B Lounge!

Sleep ‘n fly Sleep or Stay Options
Lounge Lite
Operating like a more traditional lounge style offering, booking Lounge Lite will get you a lounge style seat in a small individual alcove. Perfect if you’re looking for a slightly quieter place to rest before your flight and looking to avoid sitting in close confines to other passengers. Each alcove includes a power socket and space to store your carry-on luggage.
But wait, there’s more, access also comes with unlimited Starbucks beverages, plus water and soft drinks from the self-serve area. Consider it a VIP seat! The only thing missing is food, but on the money you save, you could go buy yourself a meal anywhere you like in the Terminal, or perhaps have a rain shower instead, which can be purchased as an add-on.
You can find Lounge Lite at sleep ‘n fly in Terminal 3, B-Gates, between Gates B14 and B18.
YAWN Lite Cabins
With single and double options available, the YAWN Lite Cabin offers a small but comfortable setup for a few hours of shut eye.
These lockable and individually air-conditioned rooms are miniscule in size at 3 square meters, but they do the job. They come with full bedding included and a 200x70cm bed for the single option, or 200x140cm bed if set up as a double.
Like their other accommodation options, you’ll get a power socket including USB charging, somewhere to hang your clothes, a mirror and a bedside table (single rooms only). Unfortunately, these rooms don’t accommodate children so families will need to book multiple rooms.
You can find the YAWN Lite Cabin Single and YAWN Lite Cabin Double at sleep ‘n fly in Terminal 1, D-Gates, opposite Gate D7.
YAWN Bunk Cabin
They might be small at only 3 square meters, but YAWN Bunk Cabins are a great option if you’re travelling with a friend or just prefer to sleep separately.
You get a bunk with two single mattresses (200x80cm on the bottom and 190x80cm on the top) and full bedding.
The cabin has its own separate air-conditioning controls and is of course lockable.
With this bunk setup you’ll get individual reading lights which is super handy if only one person wants to sleep, bedside tables, and a fold-down table from the wall which is great if you are wanting to watch movies on your laptop. There’s also room to store your carry-on.
You can find the YAWN Bunk Cabin at sleep ‘n fly in Terminal 3, B-Gates and C-Gates.
FlexiSuite Pod
The ultimate option for the individual travel, the FlexiSuite Pod incorporate a comfortable seat that folds down into a bed, akin to a first-class cabin on a flight. This kind of flexibility makes it a great option for both getting work down as well as resting, especially since they’re available for any length of time between 1 and 24 hours. As expected with sleep ‘n fly, you’ll get a power socket, reading lights, somewhere to store your carry-on baggage, as well as plenty of other storage space for smaller items.
Sleep Review
We had the opportunity to experience one of the FlexiSuite Pods firsthand [mid-2024], and there was much to appreciate. The pods are quiet (with earplugs available upon request), with lockable doors, and equipped with adjustable air-conditioning, allowing you to set your ideal sleeping temperature for maximum comfort.
The bedding was on the firm side, which might be noticeable if you're accustomed to a softer mattress, but we found it comfortable enough to get a few hours of rest. The pillowcases were made of cotton, and a lightweight fleece blanket was also provided for added comfort.
We didn’t end up using the desk, but it’s a practical space if you need to catch up on some work. However, the lack of windows might make the space feel a bit cramped for some.
Overall, this is a great spot to recharge for a few hours during transit, if you don’t have enough time to get to and from a hotel. It feels very secure, clean and well-managed.
You can find the FlexiSuite Pod at sleep ‘n fly in Terminal 3, B-Gates and C-Gates.
YAWN Double Cabins
This option is quite similar to the YAWN Lite Double Cabin, but larger, measuring in at around 4 square metres. The major advantage to this type of accommodation is that it features a pull-out mattress from under the bed for a single child, one of the only options to feature this. Besides this you’ll get a comfortable sleep on the 200x140cm mattress and individual air-conditioning in a lockable room.
If you want the cabin set up for a child, there is an additional cost supplement, though this is a fixed cost for the duration of your stay and not per hour - win!
You can find the YAWN Double Cabin at sleep ‘n fly in Terminal 3 at A-Gates, B-Gates and C-Gates. All Double Cabins can be setup to enable a child to also sleep in the room.
YAWN Family Cabins
If you’re travelling in a family group, then a YAWN Family Cabin is what you’re after. While in-airport accommodation typically doesn’t cater well to families, this new product from sleep ‘n Fly features room for four adults, one child and an infant. Essentially it consists of a YAWN Double Cabin plus a YAWN Bunk Cabin with a connecting door, plus a small foyer which can accommodate a baby cot. So, have a look at the images above to get an idea of what to expect from this larger space.
You can find the YAWN Double Cabin at sleep ‘n fly in Terminal 3, B-Gates, between Gates B14 and B18.
Single Igloo Pods
Much like the FlexiSuite Pods, the Igloo Pods offer an experience which is much like a first-class cabin on a plane. The leather clad seat will recline from upright into a full lay-flat style bed, with gives you the flexibility for both working and sleeping. Inside the pod you get dimmable LED lighting, a power socket, a fold-out desk and a storage area for your phone. By default, the Igloo Pod only comes with a disposable headrest cover, so you’ll head to spend a few extra dollars for linen if you’re planning to sleep.
These spaces are such a great replica of what you see on today’s major airlines, they’ll have you hankering to book your next flight in Business or First Class.
You can find the Single Igloo Pods at sleep ‘n fly in Terminal 3, A-Gates, opposite Gate A1.
Power Nap Therapy Pods
Found in the flagship sleep ‘n fly Concourse B Lounge, these therapeutic pods are perfect for a quick layover. Each Pod includes a low frequency vibration mattress to stimulate your body tissue. Couple this with “sleep-inducing acoustics” on your noise cancelling headphones, and you’ll find yourself feeling calm and relaxed. These pods are walk-in only, so you can’t book them on our site or anywhere else online.
You can find the Power Nap Therapy Pods at sleep ‘n fly in Terminal 3, B-Gates, between Gates B14 and B18.

Lounge access options
By day pass: Access can be purchased on the sleep ‘n fly website or on Lounge Pass.
By lounge membership program: Through Priority Pass, DragonPass, and Lounge Key. You cannot use these options to guarantee access in advance online, so it might be a better option to book online in advance, so you don’t find yourself sleeping on a seat in the terminal somewhere.

Summing up
Some of the flights via Dubai International can see people travelling for nearly 24 to 35 hours of more, depending on where they are travelling to or from. Transit times have increased compared to a number of years ago, as airlines are still ramping up schedules and capacity following the COVID pandemic.
This makes airport sleep options like sleep ‘n fly absolutely ingenious. We’ve worked with sleep ‘n fly for a number of years, and the number of people who desperately try to get access to a sleep option at the last minute when they’re at the airport always upsets us, as we know how harrowing it can be to sleep on an uncomfortable seat for so many hours before your next flight.
So, if you’re reading this, you’re already thinking about sleep options, and how you’ll best get some rest on your layover. Don’t think about it anymore - book into sleep ‘n fly, as nothing beats a great sleep, and you surely want to be awake on your next leg so you can enjoy some food and movies, right!?
